James L. Kochman£¬Pagemill Partners£¬Senior Managing Partner Close Window

Jim Kochman is the senior managing partner at Pagemill Partners. He brings more than 30 years of experience in technology investment banking, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and entrepreneurship to the firm and has closed more than 125 transactions during his career.

Prior to joining Pagemill, he founded Alliant Partners in 1992 and served as the company¡¯s CEO until 2004. While there, he led the company through its sale to Silicon Valley Bank in September 2001.

In 1990, Kochman co-founded M&A firm Von Gehr International with George Von Gehr focusing on private transactions. Leveraging his strong background of executive-level expertise in technology, operations and finance, Kochman led the merger of the company with Bentley Hall and Company to form Alliant Partners.

Prior to Alliant, Kochman held management positions at FMC Corporation and International Harvester.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
