Neil Shen is the Founding Managing Partner of Sequoia Capital China, managing a US$200 Million investment fund targeting high growth companies in China. He currently acts as board director for Qihoo.com, UUSEE, Palm Commerce, Land V Group, 51.com, China Concord Alliance, Autonavi and Great Dreams Cartoon.

Prior to founding Sequoia China, he was President and CFO of Ctrip.com International, Limited (NASDAQ: CTRP), the largest travel consolidator in China, which he co-founded in 1999 and currently serves a board director. Mr. Shen also co-founded Home Inns (NASDAQ: HMIN), the leading economy hotel chain in China, which he acts as its Co-Chairman.

Before founding Ctrip and Home Inns, Mr. Shen had worked for more than eight years in the investment banking industry in New York and Hong Kong. He was a director and Head of Global Markets for China at Deutsche Bank where he worked from 1996 to 1999. Prior to 1996, he had worked at Chemical Bank, Lehman Brothers and Citibank in various investment banking areas.

He is also a board director of Focus Media Limited (NASDAQ: FMCN), the largest out-of-home digital media concern in China. He was voted as “entrepreneur of the year 2004” by Asian Venture Journal. Mr. Shen is a director of China Entrepreneur Forum (CEF) and a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Mr. Shen received his Master's degree from the School of Management at Yale University and his Bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
