John E. Dominguez is a Vice President at Offit Hall Capital Management LLC and the Manager of the Private Equity Group, which covers venture capital, private equity and leveraged buyout investments.
Prior to joining the firm in April 2002, Mr. Dominguez was a founding principal and Managing Director of PrivateTrade, an early-stage e-commerce company focused on the private equity secondary markets. Before joining PrivateTrade, Mr. Dominguez was the Director of Alternative Investments for the Public Employees' Retirement Association ("PERA") of Colorado, where he was responsible for the management of PERA's $4.5 billion global private equity portfolio comprising buyout, venture capital and natural resource investments. During his tenure at PERA, Mr. Dominguez was active on several private equity fund advisory boards and served as Membership Chairman of the Institutional Limited Partners Association ("ILPA"). Before his time at PERA, Mr. Dominguez held capital markets and a risk management position with CoBank, a $24 billion financial institution based in Denver, Colorado and was a federal bank examiner with the United States Department of Treasury Office of Thrift Supervision.
Mr. Dominguez received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 1989, and his M.B.A. in 1997, from the University of Colorado.
Currently, Mr. Dominguez serves on the advisory boards for Aberdare Ventures, Gemini Israel Funds, Longreach Capital Partners and Oak Hill Capital Partners.
