Mr. Chan has served as the Head of North Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea) of JAFCO Asia and one of the four members of its Investment Committee since 2000. Mr. Chan¡¯s responsibilities include managing the investment teams and setting the overall investment strategy. Present board memberships include ArkMicro, Sinosun and Fiberxon (Shenzhen) and Ether (Suzhou) . Prior board memberships included Ports International (HK IPO), 3721 (acquired by Yahoo), iTest (acquired by a KOSDAQ-listed co), Canadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ), Photonic Bridges (acquired by Siemens), Pollex (acquired by MediaTek) and China Grentech (NASDAQ: GRRF).

Prior to joining JAFCO Asia, he worked 9 years in private equity in Hong Kong including Suez Asia and HSBC Private Equity (Asia). Before commencing his career in private equity in 1991, Vincent spent several years in corporate finance for Standard Chartered Asia.

Vincent was born in HK. He received an BA from the University of HK, an MBA from the Manchester Business School, England, and a CFA. He is the current President of the HK Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (past Chairman 2005/06). Mr. Chan is a member of the Assessment Panel for the Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Programme under the HK Innovation and Technology Fund, members of ICT Services Advisory Committee and HK/Shenzhen Hi-Tech Alliance of the HK Trade Development Council, member of Public Shareholders Group of HK Securities and Futures Commission and member of Disciplinary Panel (HKICPA).

He was rated as ¡°One of the Top Ten Most Active PRC Venture Capitalists in Year 2002¡± by: (i) Digital Fortune Magazine (published by International Data Group); and (ii) China Venture Capital Journal and Zero to IPO Limited respectively. He was ranked as ¡°One of the Top Ten Outstanding Offshore PRC Venture Capitalists in Year 2003¡±, ¡°One of the Top Ten Most Active PRC Venture Capitalists in Year 2004¡± and ¡°One of the top Ten PRC Venture Capitalists in Year 2006¡± by Zero to IPO respectively. He was selected as one of the ten ¡°Most Influential Venture Capitalists in China¡± by Capital Magazine (PRC) in 2005 and one of the ¡°China Best Venture Capitalists¡± by Forbes Magazine in 2006 respectively.
